WHAT WE BELIEVE
Our congregation is comprised of individuals in various stages of spiritual growth. Some have been living and growing in the grace and in the knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ for many years. Others are new believers who have recently given their hearts to God. It must be understood that all of us are in the process of transformation. Whatever level of spiritual development you find yourself, at Connection Pointe you will be supported and encouraged to move forward and grow in Christ. In our pursuit of a close encounter with God, daily walking in relationship with Him is achieved by following the Scripture. We believe the Word of God is current and relevant to our present culture. When we submerse ourselves in the Bible, we will find that God has a plan and purpose for each of us.

GOD
We believe in the one ever-living, eternal God: infinite in power, holy in nature, attributes and purpose; and possessing absolute, indivisible deity. We believe God manifested Himself as Father in creation, Son in redemption, and Holy Spirit working in the lives of people today.

THE BIBLE
We believe the Bible is the inspired Word of God, a divine revelation from God to man. We accept the Scriptures as the final authority in all matters of faith and conduct.

JESUS CHRIST
We believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God, born of a virgin; that he lived a sinless life, was crucified on Calvary for our sins, and bodily rose from the grave; and that he has been exalted to the throne of God where He is the only mediator between God and man. We believe that through his death and life we have personal salvation and power for victorious living.

SALVATION

We believe that "it is by grace you have been saved, through faith--and this not from yourselves, it is the gift of God--not by works, so that no one can boast" (Ephesians 2:8-9). It is by grace through faith that each believer finds resurrection from a life of despondency to a life of hope.  Because all men have sinned and need redemption, faith in the shed blood of Christ gives the believer life everlasting. Those repenting of sin and being born again of water and spirit become children of God and heirs with Christ (Acts 2:38).

BAPTISM OF THE HOLY SPIRIT

We believe in the baptism of the Holy Spirit as described in Acts chapter 2. We further believe God's Holy Spirit operates in present ministry, His indwelling, His empowering, His impartation of gifts for today, and His transforming power in the lives of all believers (I Cor. 12:4-11, Gal 5:22-23).

WATER BAPTISM
We believe in water baptism by immersion in the Name of the Lord Jesus Christ for the remission of sin. Through baptism we identify with Colossians 2:11-14. This practice is consistent with the teachings of the New Testament Church in Acts 2, 8, 10 & 19.

THE CHURCH

We believe the church has been “called out” of the world to be a habitation of God through the Spirit. As the body of Christ on earth, the church offers hope to mankind. The church is one body made up of many members, diverse in their gifts and calling of the Holy Spirit (1 Corinthians 12:12-27).

CHRISTIAN LIVING

As Christians we are to love God and others. We are to avoid a self-righteous, judgmental or condemning attitude toward others. “For God sent not his son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved.” (John 3:17). The Bible instructs us to live a holy life both inwardly and outwardly. We believe the Bible gives clear mandates of morality, modesty and personal conduct. Living a life consistent with the teachings of Jesus Christ brings a transformation to those who apply the Scriptures to their lives.  We firmly believe the Fruit of the Spirit is the ongoing evidence of the transforming power of God in the life of a believer. We  also believe the supernatural gifts of the Spirit, including healing, are for the church today (Mark 12:28-31; 2 Corinthians 7:1; Hebrews 12:14; 1 Corinthians 12:8-10).
